Kiki and Scott // Married 9.20.2013

Words cannot describe how grateful I am for Kiki and Scott for giving me the opportunity to shoot not only their wedding, but my first wedding. It was small, intimate and simple: three key components to making a wedding successful for my first time. From the get-go, everything perfectly fell into place. The weather, OH THE WEATHER, it was overcast and a photographer's dream; and from there I knew that the nerves I had built up in the week prior were pointless.

We started off the day with portraits at Kiki's Mom's house, a truly beautiful piece of land which couldn't have correlated better with the fall color scheme of Kiki and Scott's nuptials. Kiki's Mom had passed in the months prior to her wedding, but her presence was definitely felt by her family, and the acres of land next to her house and growing corn for the first time in years--- a welcomed sign that Momma was indeed watching. Smiles and laughs never faded through out the day, and the love between Kiki and Scott could definitely be seen by everyone watching.

Once we finished up at the house, we headed to the local golf course in Salem, Wisconsin for the ceremony and reception. The weather continued to remain absolutely perfect, resulting in a sunset that led to some extremely beautiful pictures of the newly married Mr. & Mrs. The wedding was a huge success, and I can not express my thanks enough to Kiki and Scott for letting me be apart of their special day!
